Does it reduce water pressure?+
A fresh bag has minimal impact on water pressure β the cotton mesh allows water to flow through freely while trapping particles. As the bag collects sediment over time, flow may slow slightly β that's your signal to replace it. Replacing regularly keeps pressure normal.
Does it make water safe to drink?+
No β these bags filter visible sediment, rust, and sand but do not remove bacteria, viruses, dissolved chemicals, or heavy metals. For drinking water, use an RO or UV purifier. These bags are a first-line physical filter for non-drinking uses: cooking water, bathing, washing, and general tap use.
How often should I replace the bag?+
Depends on your water quality β homes with borewell water or old pipes may need replacement every 1β2 weeks. Municipal supply in newer buildings may last 3β4 weeks. Replace when the bag turns visibly brown/yellow or when water flow slows noticeably. The pack includes multiple bags for this reason.
Will it fit my tap?+
The elastic/drawstring opening is designed to fit most standard Indian faucets β kitchen taps, bathroom taps, and utility taps. Check the product images for the exact opening size. Very wide commercial taps or taps with unusual shapes may not fit perfectly. It works on round and flat spouts.
Can I wash and reuse the bags?+
You can rinse lightly for a short extension, but the cotton mesh is designed as a disposable filter β once it's saturated with trapped particles, washing won't fully restore it.
