For small pots (up to 6 inches), one stick is enough. Medium pots (8β10 inches) need 2 sticks placed on opposite sides. Large pots and grow bags may need 3β4 sticks distributed evenly around the edge. Always place near the pot wall, not touching the stem.
Will they burn my plants like liquid fertiliser can?+
No β that's the biggest advantage. The slow-release formula delivers tiny amounts of nutrients with each watering, making it nearly impossible to overfeed. Liquid fertiliser can burn roots if you mix too much or apply too frequently. Sticks eliminate that risk entirely.
How long does one stick last?+
Each stick lasts approximately 4β8 weeks depending on how often you water and the pot size. In rainy season or with frequent watering, they dissolve faster (4β5 weeks). In drier conditions with less watering, they can last up to 8 weeks. Replace when fully dissolved.
Are they safe for edible plants like herbs and vegetables?+
Yes β the nutrients in the sticks are standard plant fertiliser compounds (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium) that are safe for edible plants. They feed through the soil and roots, not through direct contact with leaves or fruits. Your tulsi, mint, chilli, and tomato plants are perfectly safe.
Do they smell or attract insects?+
No β unlike compost or organic fertiliser, these sticks are dry and odourless. They won't attract flies, fungus gnats, or other pests. This makes them ideal for indoor plants where smell and bugs are dealbreakers for most people.
