Do I need any experience to use it?+
The tool itself is straightforward — cut, strip, twist. But electrical work isn’t: always switch the power off at the mains before touching any wiring, and if a job involves your home’s main circuits, get a qualified electrician.
What wires does it work with?+
It’s designed for common household and automotive electrical wire. Very heavy-gauge cable or armoured cable needs proper dedicated tools instead.
Is a twisted joint enough on its own?+
No — twisting is the first step, not the finish. Always secure and insulate the joint properly with a connector, cap or crimp before you restore power.
Will it damage the copper strands?+
Used correctly it strips the insulation while leaving the conductor intact. Work steadily rather than forcing it, and check the exposed strands before you make the connection.
Does it fit in a normal toolbox?+
